It has been an amazing week for the Stauber family! Did you hear about my younger brother, Robb?! He coached the US Women’s Hockey team to a gold medal on Thursday! I’m so proud of Robb and the entire team – Congratulations Team USA!
I didn’t travel to PyeongChang but I made it to International Falls! I had the opportunity to meet voters in Virginia, Brainerd, Cross Lake, Ely, Mt Iron and International Falls. Meeting great people all over the District is the best part of this campaign. Your enthusiasm and support continues to inspire me to keep working toward our own victory in November!
Thanks for being a part of Team Stauber!
Pete’s Week on the Road
Former Mayor of Duluth Don Ness, invited me to speak to his Political Messaging class at UMD. We spoke about my campaign, how my background has prepared me for this race and how even though Mayor Ness and I have disagreed on policy in the past, it is important that we always continue to have an open discussion when it comes to what is best for the 8th district.
This week marked the start of the BPOU Convention season. I had the opportunity to attend the Koochiching, Crow Wing and St. Louis North County conventions and speak with them about why I am the right person for this endorsement. Our state is unique in the fact that we have this endorsement process and we are very lucky to have these great Republicans take the time out of their busy lives to participate in it.
This week I traveled to Virginia, Cotton, Brainerd, International Falls and Mt. Iron. On the road I visited a number of coffee shops to speak with the locals in the Virginia area, met with the Associated Builders and Contractors in Brainerd, met with Gerald Tyler with Up North Jobs in Ely and attended a number of BPOU conventions. This week we traveled 1,081 miles around the district and I am excited about the week ahead.
We look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail and are thrilled you are a part of Team Stauber!
