Many in our community had the honor of knowing Jim Evenson. “There is sadness for us that Jim has left behind but there is Great Joy in Heaven over a faithful soul coming home.” “Jim’s passing is bittersweet. Jim stood tall for us all seemingly forever. I personally will miss Jim’s kindly friendship and mentorship.”
From Jim’s Caringbridge
To the many friends and family of Jim Evenson.
On Saturday evening, while listening to Doris Day songs that Jim and Diane listened to while dating, Jim left this world and moved on to his heavily home. His passing was peaceful, his hand entwined with his bride of 57 years.
While we are saddened by the loss of this devoted husband, father and grandfather, we are overjoyed that Jim is now free of pain and likely celebrating with the many loved ones who have gone on before him.
We are so grateful for the many tributes and visits from the past months.
We will gather for “A celebration of God’s Faithfulness” and remember Jim Evenson.
